SPACE ID is a multi-chain Web3 identity platform that lets you register blockchain domains like .bnb and .arb. These domains replace wallet addresses with readable names and can be used for transactions, profiles, and more.

What You Can Do with Your SPACE ID Domain

How to Mint a Domain

  1. Visit space.id and connect your wallet.
  2. Search for a domain (e.g. yourname.bnb).
  3. If available, choose registration years and click Register.
  4. Confirm the transaction in your wallet.
  5. After minting, your domain will appear under My Domains.

Gift Cards / Credit

A Gift Card in SPACE ID is an NFT (BEP-1155 style) that holds a redeemable value in SID Points (1 Point = $1)

Gift cards are a great way to give someone their very own domain! When you send a SPACE ID Gift Card, your friend receives a prepaid balance that can be used to mint a domain of their choice, completely free. They'll only need to cover the network gas fee during registration.

  • To mint a gift card, Click Redeem
  • To send a gift card to a friend, Navigate to the Transfer tab
    • Enter your friend wallet address and click transfer
  • To use a gift card, click Redeem Select how many gift cards then click Redeem again
    • You will get SID points that can be used to mint a domain, You only need to cover the network gas fee.

Set Your Primary Name (and Why)

Once you own multiple domains you may want to choose one domain as your primary or default name. Here's why and how:

  • Setting a Primary Name makes your domain appear as your identity across dApps instead of your 0x wallet address.
  • Cross-chain identity, you may want a single name to represent you across chains.

To set it a name as your primary name:

  • open your domain list, Navigate to Name services.
    • Then
  • Click on the + button
    • Select your domain from the list and click save!
If your domain doesn't appear in the list, you'll need to set the records to your wallet address, Below is how to set the records.

Records

Records on SPACE ID tell wallets and dApps the exact wallet address your domain points to, so others can send you funds using your domain instead of a long address.

  • Go back to the Domains Tab
  • Click on your domain then click View in full page
  • Click edit
  • Enter your wallet address and click save

Buy or Sell Domains in the Marketplace

If a domain is already taken, you can still make an offer or buy it directly through the SPACE ID Marketplace. Likewise, if you own a domain, you can list it for sale with just a few clicks.

Buy: If the domain you want is already registered, you can make an offer to the current owner. For example, let's say you're interested in abc.bnb. As shown in the screenshot below, this domain is already taken. To make an offer:

  • Click on the domain
  • Then click make offer
  • Enter your offer amount and duration, then wait for the owner's approval

PS. If the owner has listed the domain it for sale, you'll also see a "Buy Now" option to purchase it instantly.

Sell: You can also list your domain for sale and receive offers from interested buyers. You can view all the offers you've received here:

If you like one of the offers you've received, simply accept it, Your domain will be transferred to the buyer, and you'll receive the funds automatically.

To list your domain for sale:

  • go to My Domains
  • Click on the domain you want to sell then click List Now
  • Set your price and duration, then sign the transaction, your domain will appear on the SPACE ID Marketplace.

When someone buys it, ownership is automatically transferred to the buyer, and you'll receive your funds securely.

Renewing Your Domain

SPACE ID domains are not permanent, they require yearly renewal.
You can renew anytime before expiration to extend your ownership. If you don't renew in time, your domain will expire and eventually become available for others to register again.

The renewal cost is the same as the original minting price, and there's a 30-day grace period after expiration, giving you one last chance to renew before it's released to the public.

To renew/extend your domain:

  • Go to my domains tab
  • Click Extend
  • Select your desired registration extension period then click Extend.
